Jakob Berglund ( drums ), Fredrik Franke ( vocals/bass guitar ), David Larsson ( guitar ) and Kristofer Övferberg ( guitar/organ ). Are the band Ohm Figures. They’ve been playing together since about three years. Only Jakob is new in the band since this summer. Their music is hard to categorize, and they’d rather not be. "Oh, so there’s another band sounding like us," Kristofer says surprised as we mention their music reminds us of Sugarspoon’s ( a local band in Stockholm ). "Guitar-based pop, or howling pop-rock," is the category Ohm Figures would place themselves into. "Hard to say. Somewhat experimental." The tunes of inspiration come from several different sources, such as Hellacopters, Smiths and Joy Division. Fredrik states that Morrisey is God ( musically speaking ) and that there are a lot of Swedish bands playing good alternative music. |
